Every Lift Is a Gain

Help me give my students the training equipment they need such as pairs of different weighted plate weights, easy bars, and other weightlifting accessories, to reach their athletic potential and beyond.

My Project

My position as a coach, mentor, and teacher is to instill into these athletes how to train safely and with proper technique so they can gain strength and power without getting hurt. The football and track team will definitely benefit from this donation. I coach football and a lot of the players who play both football and track both girls and boys will use the equipment to gain strength, power, speed, and other attributes of promoting self-esteem and the ability to relieve stress. I really admire my student-athletes for working very hard on the conditioning aspects of the training with such limited supplies and resources. These student-athletes deserve to be competitive in the weight room, sports, and classrooms. The equipment currently being used is old and dated and needs to be recycled in some fashion. I plan to use the easy bars for multiple training needs to build biceps, triceps, and trapezoids for the student-athletes. The weight plates are definitely needed to replace others that are chipping and to fulfill the need of the demand of new athletes to utilize to gain strength and power. The jump ropes will aid in quick feet and cardiovascular endurance. Despite not having adequate training equipment, my students have still dedicated themselves to showing up for training sessions and giving their all every day.

My student-athletes are competing and challenging each other every day in the weight room to be better each day with limited to no equipment.

I plan to use the requested training equipment to improve our weight room and athletes' bodies, so that my students can reach their athletic potential and beyond. Despite not having adequate training equipment, my students continue on with dedication and commitment. They've done their best to make do with damaged second-hand training equipment without complaining.
