My students need math kits and games for understanding numbers and operations and to help with automaticity!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Wilson's classroom raised $510

My Students
At the end of first grade, my students need to be math masters of addition! What do kids like to do? PLAY GAMES! Let's "add" fun to our instruction and centers.
My first grade students attend elementary school in the Philadelphia District.
Lack of funding can eliminate the purchase of "extras" when books still need to be purchased, and it can at times leave the children with a serious disadvantage when it comes down to performance. My eager students would greatly appreciate the possibility of learning and practicing math skills at centers that have these "extras."
My Project
During part of our instructional block, the students will be working cooperatively in centers using the different math activities or games while I am focusing on a specific skill or task with a smaller set of students. These activities will help them to master addition up to 20 and begin subtraction.
By donating to this project, I will be able to maximize on differentiation for teaching numbers and operations to my class.
It will give me extra time to dig deeper into the understanding of these concepts in the smaller groups I will be working with. Through your contributions, we will be able to keep math fun and fascinating and achieve proficiency through practice.
