Consistent school attendance is a foundational part of academic success—but for many students, showing up every day can be a challenge. Chronic absenteeism, defined as missing 10% or more of the school year, affects more than 7 million students nationwide and is a leading predictor of academic struggle, grade retention, and dropping out of school.At our school, we are committed to reversing this trend by building a culture that celebrates and supports daily attendance. We’re seeking your support to provide small incentives—such as snacks, school supplies, and small prizes—that will be used for pop-up attendance celebrations, raffles, and to support students who are working to improve their attendance habits.
These items help us create positive moments that reinforce the importance of showing up.
Students with improved or perfect attendance are surprised with “pop-up” treat days or small giveaways.
Weekly and monthly attendance challenges come with incentives that students look forward to.
Students struggling with attendance are given thoughtful encouragement and support through one-on-one check-ins—and incentives help us recognize their efforts to come to school more consistently.
