This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In my classroom, students learn that science, technology, engineering, and mathematics can be creative, exciting, and fun. Students learn STEM by addressing "real-world" problems in our community, city, and beyond.
The student body at my school is diverse in many regards; I have students from Mexico, China, Yemen, Bangladesh, the Dominican Republic and several other nations.
My classroom represents a broad variety of cultures, languages, and learning styles and needs. Knowing this, prioritize creating an environment that is supportive of the diversity my students bring to our school. I believe our differences strengthen us, and strive to cultivate a positive classroom community.
Project-based learning, personalized learning, and authentic learning experiences make sure that every student has an opportunity to learn however they learn best.
My Project
This project is very simple. Having easy access to printing is a game-changer in the classroom. My student's learning simply depends on printed materials. From the resources and assignments I print out for them, to the many things my students need to print out for all their classes, we use printed materials all the time. Frankly, our current classroom printer is out of date and only works part of the time. What's more, this printer has strong wireless functionality, taking the headache out of printing for me, and enabling my students to print from their classroom chromebooks. In short, this printer will be available for me and my students to print wirelessly whenever the need arises.
