My Project

I looked around my classroom and realized I’ve had the same bulletin paper and posters up since I began my teaching journey in 2019. It is well past time for a refresh. I teach an engaging and eager group of 8th graders and they deserve to have a bright, inviting classroom to learn in.

Visual learners especially can gain inspiration from the walls of my classroom.

My eighth graders struggled through the pandemic and missed the better part of their middle school experience. We are working hard together to catch up both academically and socially. It is important to me that I provide every student with a colorful and inspiring space where they can learn and grow. Students will be able to consult anchor charts about the literary concepts we are learning, see their academic growth in the data center and take pride in seeing their work displayed for all to see.

I have two walls of bulletin boards with plenty of room to create anchor charts, data centers and places to showcase student work. My vision includes black backgrounds for each board with rainbow borders and a mix of colored posters and letters.
