Every Child's an Artist... Our's are Happiest when Creating Art!
Help me give my students a variety of art supplies. My students thrive on creating art projects through different media. It helps them to self regulate and relax.
Picasso once said, "Every child is an artist". His statement speaks to me, since I have seen multiple beautiful art pieces, created by my students. In my free time I am an artist myself and believe that art is an essential part of our education. It helps us to reflect on our emotions, our culture, knowledge and history.
Visual art can be integrated into science, math, social skills and language arts.
I noticed that my students, most of them on the spectrum, come up with incredible skills and imagination when it comes to drawing, painting or creating art in any other forms. Currently we do not have sufficient art supplies and the means to pay for them to expand our possibilities of exploring and creating more art pieces.
My students and I want to say thank you for taking the time to read about our need for sufficient art supplies. It is most rewarding to see my students in a happy and relaxed mood whenever they have the opportunity to create.
