Every Child Has A Voice!

My students need a class set (24) of hand-held dry erase boards with markers.

Every child's ideas are important! That's my philosophy and the philosophy of the PK-3 school where I teach. I teach a wonderful group of 2nd graders...17 in all. Like all classes at my school, we are an inclusion class with a wide range of abilities.

Have you ever seen those shy children shrink into a ball when a question is given to the class? They're trying their hardest to not get called on, even though they have a good answer. There are always those 3 students who have all the answers and love to be called on. What about the rest?

I found a wonderful solution to this problem that will allow all children to give their input in a way that doesn't single them out for too much attention. A class set of hand-held dry erase boards, including the markers, will enable all of my students to share their thoughts and ideas. This will also give me a quick assessment of student engagement and understanding.

Your generous donation will provide the materials we need in our class to ensure that every child has a voice without fear of unwanted attention.
