I am a reading teacher in a wonderful school in Wisconsin. My students are very special and I just love going to school every day to see the sparkle in their little eyes. I truly have the most special job in the world and treasure every day with my students! My students are sweet little students who just love to learn. They are kind, friendly, and very motivated. They appreciate the littlest things and take good care of their learning materials.
My Project
Hi there, I am a teacher who is absolutely passionate about helping all students learn to read! There is nothing better than working with children who want to read, but just haven't had the best experience or opportunity, or who may have struggled with learning the material, and helping them to see how much fun it is and how capable they really can be!
I truly believe that EVERY child can learn to read, and it is absolutely priceless to be working in a position where I get to help students to make that happen.
I want to be better equipped to drill down and figure out students' very specific, targeted learning needs. Phonological awareness is one of the absolute strongest indicators of future success as a reader. Phonological skills are central to every phase of a student's reading development. I am requesting the Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing Second Edition (CTOPP-2) so that I can evaluate phonological processing abilities as a prerequisite to reading fluency. This will help me to find a struggling student's biggest are of need, so that I work hard to help the child in that area, and help them to find reading success. EVERY child deserves the opportunity to have instruction that allows them to become a successful reader. Than you so much for your help, kindness and support.
