Help me give my students a champion education with a more engaging hands-on learning experience, which will be accomplished through the use of captivating phonic games during reading small group learning time.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My school is located in a highly transient area of Charlotte, NC and the student body is made up of a diverse population of students, most of whom are from working families. Recently, an unfortunate event occurred and my classroom is in need of resources.
Due to the trauma, few resources, and the living situations of many, many of my students struggle with attendance issues, academic challenges in reading, and social skills deficits.
Despite some of the difficulties they face, my students are eager to learn and happy when they come to school. They are hard workers and demonstrate perseverance and dedication everyday! They deserve adequate resources and an amazing educational experience!

It is my mission as a teacher to elementary school aged children to give them the tools and skills they need to be socially, emotionally, and academically strong.
I will use these the reading games as learning stations for my students. These games will provide small groups reading instructions which will allow me to differentiate instruction by incorporating all of my students' needs, interests, and learning style.
