Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school in Texas with a population of almost 1,400 where students are of diverse cultural and low socioeconomic backgrounds. All our students receive free breakfast and lunch every day.

The majority of my English language learners come from homes in which little or no English is spoken.

Although language may seem like a barrier to their learning, my students always display a positive attitude and determination to succeed. They are willing to learn and collaborate with each other.

My Project

We are on an unprecedented school year. For our district, students were given a choice. Some of my students are now attending classes in person; however due to COVID restrictions, my students are somewhat paranoid about this disease. The air purifiers I am requesting will be utilized everyday to help improve the classroom air quality.

As students enter my classroom, I would want them to feel safe and secure.

Since I have 6 classes everyday while students move from one classroom to another, I would want to provide a cleaner air conducive to their learning.
