My Project

Teaching is not only my career, but it is my passion. I enjoy finding new ways to incorporate the curriculum into hands on methods. The Building Math: Everest Trek curriculum is an engaging set of instructions that allows students to think, learn, and create. Students use the Engineering Design Process to study three different aspects of climbing Mount Everest. They must research their engineering problems and create solutions based on that information.

Students get to see their math and science skills in action as they develop their solutions to the problems outlined in the Everest Trek curriculum.

This high level of involvement has an impact on student learning. It is fun to learn when lessons are presented in exciting, new ways.
