My Students

My students are fun, curious, and full of energy. I love providing them with the best learning experiences. A child's development is influenced by his or her environment and the experience had there. My goal is to provide an environment with experiences that are self-directed and self-motivated to create a natural intrinsic love for learning.

First graders enjoy having a choice in what and how they learn!

In first grade children transform into true readers, their vocabulary rapidly increases, and they prefer open-ended experiences. They are developing more sophisticated math strategies and enjoy scientific discoveries.

Watching them grow and learn in their own way and on their own path is so rewarding. My students are taught the love of learning and are thrilled in what they can accomplish and what they are capable of when they set a goal and work hard!

My Project

Having 10 more Amazon Fire Tablets will allow ALL my students to use technology programs to learn. They will all become better readers by having the opportunity to read books on Get Epic everyday. They will all be stronger in math by having the opportunity to use Imagine Math Facts everyday.

We will also have the opportunity to participate in whole groups activities like Kahoot where all students have their own device!

Kahoot is an online platform for game based learning where players answer the questions on their own devices, while games are displayed on a shared screen to unite the lesson. Kahoots provide an opportunity for social learning and sharing as well as reinforcement to practice important skills in a fun way.
