Even Chickens Need First Aid Sometimes

Help me give my students first aid supplies to be able to take care of all the farm animals when they need it.

My Project

Today one of our geese got hurt and we didn't have the first aid supplies to help him with his wound. The first aid supplies in this project, including gauze, wound sprays, wraps and ointment, will enable us to have a first aid kit for the farm animals when we need it. We had one in the past, but have used most of the supplies in there and need to replace a lot of it. Also our chickens are starting to show signs of scaly leg mite, and we can easily combat that with petroleum jelly and gauze so that's going in the first aid kit too.

Being able to doctor and patch up animals that get sick and injured comes with the territory of having a school farm.

These first aid supplies will enable my students to render aid when needed as well as do things like cut the chickens nails and file down the rooster's spurs. It's never a dull day around here on the farm and my students and I are always getting to do something fun and exciting!
