My students need a printer, ink, glue, scissors to attached notes to the interactive notebook. They also need coloring pencils and a pencil sharpener to color code their notes and handouts.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I first want to say that I am in no way an expert in Interactive Student Notebooks. My group of students with learning disabilities this year are having a hard time with science concepts and skills, in fact they voiced their hatred of science many times at the beginning of the school year. After getting to the root of their hatred, I found that it's mainly because all they ever did with their previous teacher was worksheets.
I searched to find something that would teach these students how to take notes, keep themselves organized, and most of all have fun while learning.
EUREKA!, I FOUND IT! Interactive Student Notebooks!
I'm requesting a color printer to assist with printing worksheets for the students to take notes. The glue, scissors, colored pencils, and sharpener will assist the students with placing their interactive notes in their notebook and color code important information.
My Project
I work hard to foster creativity and motivation with learning strategies to assist students with disabilities learn difficult concepts and skills in science. My students have a very difficult time with completing long grade level assignments on their own and are in need of constant assistance and motivation. Using an interactive notebook with my students, will allow to shorten assignments and focus on a single concept at a time to facilitate learning.
About 180 students will benefit from this project because they will get modified printed materials at a level they can understand to print, glue, and color in their interactive notebook.
