My students need technology to access the programs our district provides. WE need a chromebook.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. North's classroom raised $297

My Students
Our students come from hard-working families who don't always have a lot of money. They're good kids who want to learn! I'm proud to say that, despite our challenges, parents in other areas of our city send their children to us because they know we have a learning environment here.
We work hard at our school and we know that learning must be enjoyable to be educational.
We get our hands on our learning every chance we get. It could be using Cheetos to dust 'pollen' from flower to flower, dancing out our anti-bullying rap, or forming an island out of play dough to demonstrate our landforms.
My Project
Our district provides quite a few programs that students can access via technology but...not always enough technology for us to use these programs to fidelity. Research has shown that these programs produce student growth (especially when utilized in a blended learning environment like the one in my classroom).
In order to help each student with these programs, our classroom needs to be able to get each student on a device daily.
Given the time restrictions and structures of school/ our room, this can be a challenge. My students genuinely enjoy learning on a device, passing levels, earning certificates (and yes, healthy fruit snacks), and the time spent on a device gives me a chance to focus in small group instruction. Their lessons on the reading and math programs are targeted to their needs!
More than half of students from low‑income households
