My students need a tabletop communication center for an effective way to organize classroom materials. As a primary AVID classroom, we focus on the skill of organization to promote successful foundational skills for all students.

My Students

We are a group of inquisitive students who enjoy working together in the classroom. We love gaining new knowledge using GLAD strategies in the classroom as we increase our academic vocabulary and improve our reading and writing skills. We also love practicing our organizational skills using AVID strategies in the classroom. This year, we’re also focusing on inquiry learning and levels of questioning!

My Project

As a classroom that practices effective AVID strategies, we promote the foundational skills relating to organization. Establishing these skills in a primary classroom helps promote continued student success as students progress as learners. These tabletop shelves will be an effective tool to promote the skill of organization in our classroom, providing the necessary space to hold materials.

Students can keep their materials, resources and forms for home-school communication organized using these shelves.

These shelves will help maximize student learning in the classroom as organization is promoted and time spent focused on hands-on learning is increased. Responsibility and independence will also be promoted.
