Establishing Classroom Routines

Help me give my students establish classroom routines! Sign holders can guide students through activities. Students can reference the world map, keep on pace with the timer, and charge their chromebooks with the power strip!

My Project

My students are English Language Learners studying US/VA government in Alexandria City High School's International Academy. This is my second year working with these students and the items I've requested will help my students develop routines to make the most out of our time in the classroom this year. First, I've requested sign-holders for each group. With these sign holders, students will be able to look and see the days schedule and warm-up questions easily at their tables. Many students have trouble seeing the board, so this will ensure that no one is left out! Next, I requested a world map. My students come from all over the world, and I would love to have a map on the wall to reference their homes and relate them to the topics we cover in social studies. Third, I requested a timer. This will help students manage their time when working on projects this year. Finally, I've requested a powerstrip so that more students can easily charge their chromebooks. With these four items, I am sure that we can have a productive year!
