This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As I prepare to start my second year of teaching, I am excited to set up my classroom to provide a calm, inviting, friendly and innovative space for my students.
The learning success of my students is one of my number one priorities.
I can achieve this goal with the help of the materials I am asking for.
The manipulatives will help those students that do well learning with visual items, the headphones will help them during their individual learning time, the whiteboard will help me during whole class instruction and also during small group instruction, and the bins will help keep the classroom organized, so we have an easy flow to manage resources.
Also, with the help of the cushions, I can provide my students with flexible seatings. I want to provide a place where students with learning sensibilities can feel comfortable doing their work. I want to empower them to feel successful and that they can do hard things. Lastly, the fidget toys will be used in the calm corner to help students with behavior problems to calm their feelings and help them focus back to a place where they can continue learning and growing.
