Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our incoming fourth graders are excited to learn science in Ms. Luna's classroom but we cannot do that without new supplies! Hands on science projects are really what pull our students together and get them inspired to learn more.

Through funding this project, over 40 students will benefit from supplies that help them see themselves in many identities in their art and scientific projects.

The bins will be used to hold our new materials as well as their notebooks and workbooks. The tape, glue, activator, and baking soda will be used for science projects such as slime and environmental natural resource projects. The skin tone markers and crayons will be used for students to draw and express themselves in both self portraits and in their science projects where they imagine themselves in the nature.
