Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Even though the previous school year just ended, as a teacher I use summer to look at how I can improve and support my students even more, year after year. My goal for this project is to let my students know day 1 that if they ever need the basic classroom necessities, I have them covered. I want to create availability in my classroom where if a student needs a pencil, they can go grab one, if they need a marker, they know where to find it.

Providing students with the basic materials creates an environment where they feel safe to learn and grow.

The school I work at serves the highest amount of Title 1 students in the district. These students are capable of learning at the same level as all students and should not be at a disadvantage by not having a pencil or marker. This project ensures a student never has to feel uncomfortable by not having the necessities in my classroom and know they can show up to Mr. Glassmans classroom and be prepared no matter what.
