My Project

In our 9th grade PE class, we often face the challenge of having limited equipment due to our small budget. However, using simple balls for sports activities can still create a strong, focused learning environment for students. Balls are versatile and can be used in many ways to teach important skills. For example, with just a few soccer balls, students can practice dribbling, passing, and teamwork drills without needing an entire field setup. Basketballs can teach coordination, communication, and confidence through shooting and passing drills even without full court games.

When students use various types of sports equipment during PE, they stay engaged because the activities are hands-on and active.

Instead of standing around, they are constantly moving, thinking, and practicing new skills. This focus reduces off-task behavior and builds discipline as they listen to instructions and carry them out quickly. Moreover, sports involving balls help students build social skills, such as encouraging teammates and showing good sportsmanship. These lessons go beyond physical health – they teach respect, focus, and responsibility.

Overall, even with a limited budget, using simple sports balls allows us to design structured, active, and meaningful PE classes. This ensures our students stay engaged, learn life skills, and build a positive mindset toward health and fitness throughout their high school journey.
