This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a first-year teacher starting my career at a high-needs school. These supplies will help me make sure students are in a positive environment.

Making students feel safe and welcome is always a top priority for me.

Materials like pads and tampons help my students feel safe and like they have what they need in school. I always supply these for my students, so they never have to worry about them being available.

Students feel welcome in a space that represents them. I always hang student work in my classroom and I want to laminate it to keep it safe all year. At this time we do not have a working laminator in our school so having one in the classroom would allow me to decorate the space to represent my students.
