Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a third grade teacher at a Magnet School that serves students in grades PreK - 8. Third grade is a great transition year for many students on the cusp of being proficient and fabulous readers, writers, mathematicians, and thinkers. After working with this specific group of students, I, without hesitation, can say that they are motivated and genuinely excited to learn. They are up for challenges that will propel them through an excellent academic career! My building serves a wide variety of students from Pre K-8 with differing socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
My Project
These materials will help our classroom greatly! In the morning, my students complete morning meeting which consists of a check in, overview of the day as well as any other announcements that are necessary. In order to do this, they need a comfortable rug to sit on!
Help me give my kiddos materials to make their transition to third grade that much easier.
The copy paper is limited due to budget cuts. In order to differentiate instruction for all of my students, we need paper to copy! Pencils, storage bins and workbooks are all essential in keeping materials organized and ready.
