Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Although my students come from low-income family, they strive to do their very best. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Many students do no have the supplies that they need to complete the assignments at home. Every child deserves supplies to continue learning during this time of distant learning.

I want to provide my students with creative and meaningful hands-on learning experiences they can do at home.

Our school building may be closed for the remainder of the year, but that doesn't mean learning has to stop.

My Project

During our time of learning at home though non-traditional instruction, I’m requesting some items for my students to complete assignments at home. Many of my students do not have the basic supplies to complete their assignments nor to use as an outlet for their creativity during this pandemic. I want to ensure they have what they need to learn at home. I would love to provide some basic materials to ensure this learning.

My students are incredibly bright and eager to learn.

We left school on March 13 and they didn’t have a chance to get any of these items. This would be nice for them to have so they can work without worrying about the basic supplies. Basic supplies are essential to help them continue to learn.
