Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a group of bright, creative, curious, and very active 5-year-olds who are currently learning about the world that surrounds them. They are striving their hardest to learn as much as they can during their first school experience.
Our school is a Title I school with 100% of our students receiving free lunch or reduced-price lunch.
The majority of my students are English language learners and yet at such an early age, they are eager to explore anything and everything that they can get their little hands on. They love hands-on learning.
My Project
Remote teaching and learning is not easy, especially when students lack basic supplies. I am requesting: crayons, glue sticks and dry erase markers because I want my students to continue learning while at home.
For the past days, I noticed, many of my students were not submitting high-quality work because they are starting to lack the basic school supplies.
I want to continue encouraging my students to learn and to give always take pride in their work.
By providing these basic supplies it will help to keep my students engaged and at the same time, my students will have the hands-on materials they need to explore and learn at home.
