Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first-grade students are full of curiosity, energy, and a love for learning. They come from a low-economic neighborhood, but that doesn’t stop them from working hard and striving for success. Every day, they walk into our classroom eager to explore new ideas, build their reading and math skills, and work toward their learning goals.

Despite the challenges they may face outside of school, they show up ready to learn.

They take pride in their progress, especially in our Lexia reading goals, and get excited about reaching milestones. They are resilient, determined, and deserve every opportunity to thrive!

Our classroom is running low on essential supplies that help make learning engaging and interactive. To continue providing a hands-on, structured, and supportive learning environment, we need highlighters, glue sticks, dry-erase markers, paper, and antibacterial wipes. Highlighters will help students track key details in texts, especially as they work on sight words and comprehension activities. Glue sticks are crucial for interactive notebooks, crafts, and hands-on learning activities. Dry-erase markers make small-group instruction and individual practice engaging, allowing students to actively participate in lessons. Paper is an everyday necessity for writing, drawing, and completing assignments. Antibacterial wipes will help keep our learning environment clean and healthy, reducing the spread of germs.

This project will ensure my students have the tools they need to stay engaged, organized, and actively involved in their learning. With these materials, they can continue working toward their reading, writing, and math goals without worrying about running out of supplies. By supporting this project, you’re helping to create a classroom where students can focus on learning, creativity, and growth. Thank you for believing in my students and making a difference in their education!
