My Project

My students are bright, creative, and eager to learn but many face significant challenges. Coming from low-income families, with many living in state housing, they often lack basic learning resources at home. As a Title I school with majority of Native Hawaiian students, I strive to provide an equitable education, ensuring every child has the tools they need to succeed. This project will supply my classroom with essential materials to enhance engagement, creativity, and hands-on learning. Glue, cardstock, and stickers will support art and writing projects, helping students express their ideas in meaningful ways. Sharpies, dry erase markers, and spacers will improve handwriting and literacy skills, making learning more interactive. Math dice games and hundreds number board will strengthen foundational math skills in a fun and engaging way. The small group pocket chart and stamps will support differentiated instruction, allowing me to tailor lessons to each child's needs. Play-Doh and erasers will provide kinesthetic learning opportunities while also serving as tools for stress relief. My goal is to create a dynamic supportive classroom where students feel excited to learn and empowered to succeed. By providing these resources, I can bridge the gap between home and school, ensuring every child has access to the materials they need to grow. These supplies may seem small, but to my students, they mean opportunity, confidence and success.
