Help me give my students basic classroom materials. They use pencils and erasers as if we will never run out. We also need more composition notebooks to continue writing in our interactive math notebooks.
My students are all from a small town and many have been in multiple schools already, but that doesn't stop them from wanting to learn.
One of my kids recently wrote "I love school, I love this class, and you are the best teacher ever!" This type of kind-heartedness and thoughtfulness is what makes the longer days better.
The students who visit my room every morning before school starts to give me a quick hug, or those who see me at a football game and can't leave without saying hello, help keep our days happy and full of smiles.

My Project
The students have used the entire small supply of erasers they brought at the beginning of school and most of the 50 erasers I purchased before school. Along with erasers, we will not have enough pencils to complete the school year.
Composition notebooks are utilized for interactive math notebooks each day and the students are running out of pages already.
The students prefer working in their notebooks instead of completing worksheets and tend to learn more when we use them. Unfortunately, the students have used most of the notebook which was requested in their school supply lists and need a second if we are to continue learning using interactive notebooks.
Additional supplies on the list aid in classroom organization, small group practice, and so forth. For example, the small dry erase markers are great for students to use as they work with me at the teacher table during math workshop. We solve problems on whiteboards instead of using the standard paper and pencil to engage the students with different materials. Many of the students use their hands or sleeves to wipe the boards clean, which leaves them with black hands or clothing. The erasers also prevent unnecessary waste from using tissues or paper towels to wipe the boards clean.
