This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students work so hard when they come to my resource groups. They all want to reach their individual goals (IEP goals) and our class goals. They are willing to try their very best to finish assignments and learn new skills in order to achieve success. They want to be the best readers, writers, and mathematicians that they can be.

My students have made each resource group a safe environment for everyone that is in it.

They are willing to help each other out when someone is struggling with a concept, word, or math problem. They cheer each other on to always give their all and to never give up even when things get hard. I am amazed at how kind my students are to each other, and they deserve extra tools to help them reach their potential.

My Project

I am very excited to be part of a brand new school this school year. Because we are starting from the ground up, we are in great need of materials. I would like to provide and teach essential skills such as reading fluency, comprehension, problem solving, and the writing process to my students.

Students K-6 need to learn many skills and I know that using Six Minute Solution Reading Program, Common Core Math and Writing books can help me provide essential skills to all of my current and future students.

At times it is hard to use differentiated teaching strategies but with these materials I know that it will be a lot easier and my students will be able to reach common core standards.
