My Students

I teach 16, 4th, and 5th-grade students in a self-contained functional academics class. My students are all very unique. We work hard learning mathematics, reading, and writing. In our classroom we focus on being a team; following directions, working together, building friendships, and doing the very best we can academically. As a team, we enjoy going out into the community on monthly field trips. Along with being a team in the classroom, we enjoy being a team on the playground as well as playing different sports. My class loves and supports the University of Utah football and basketball teams!

My Project

COVID 19 has greatly affected learning in the classroom. These supplies will help students in my classroom learn academically and socially. Additionally, they will help with technology in the class as that has become a huge need with distance learning and COVID. Zoom meetings and online teaching have become normal in the classroom and headphones and wireless mice are needed to help support digital learning in the classroom. Extra classroom resources have been used to buy cleaning supplies and masks and therefore school supplies have had to be put off, with this donation we will be able to stock the classroom again.
