Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are from Paterson, NJ, a low-income district. They are bilingual students and many of them are behind grade level. My students are very eager and love learning, having different experiences where they can learn about the world that surrounds them. Overall, my second graders are friendly and amazing.
My Project
This school year I have been teaching my students remotely but in May we will possibly transition to blended learning.
This project will help me get the supplies I need to go back into the building and provide my students with essential supplies that they will need on a day to day basis.
Normally students bring some of these supplies at the beginning of the school year but since we're being transitioned mid-year, I want to make it as smooth as possible not only for the students but the parents as well.
