Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a Special Education Teacher and I teach a self-contained 4th grade class. My students are ready to learn every single day they walk into the classroom. My school is a Title I school and students come from low income households, all students receive free breakfast and lunch. The students in my class come from Spanish speaking households.
Being a Special Education Teacher I want to make sure my students feel special everytime they walk through the classroom doors.
My Project
A classroom filled with colored paper and index cards and learning strips. This is what I want to have in my classroom. Learning strips would be used to label the room and write the objective for the day on it. I also requested different colored looseleaf paper. Colored looseleaf paper will be used to display our writing on colorful paper around the classroom. Yellow legal pad paper will be used for draft paper when writing an essay.
We will make our writing come to life.
Expo dry erase markers would be used for our class easel. It will also be used for our individual white boards. All of these supplies would be very beneficial in our classroom and academic growth.
