My Students

My students are a diverse group of students. They have a love of learning and want to please as much as possible. They love working together and being cooperative. They enjoy collaborative conversations and thinking outside the box. They are excited to work together and learn new reading strategies.

I am a very out-of-the-box teacher.

I always am coming up with new and innovative ways to reach students and make learning in my classroom a unique experience for every student.

My Project

I am an agent of change. Everything I do is unique and creative. Ron Clark has helped me realize that I am fully capable of doing that and after visiting his school this past year, I want to bring more of that magic to my school. One way I saw this incorporated at RCA was through Science, especially Environmental Science. I want to help the teachers who teach science at my school bring this to life for their students and quit relying on the book.

The copies of "The Essential 55" will help me lead a book club/professional learning committee to bring this change to my school.

I want other teachers at my school to experience the satisfaction of bringing some of the magic into their classrooms that I saw at RCA and have been instilling in my own classroom this year.
