This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are curious, creative, and always eager to take on a challenge. They light up when they make connections between what they learn in the classroom and the world around them. What I love most is their persistence—they don’t give up when something is hard. They ask questions, they collaborate, and they celebrate each other’s successes.
This project, Essential Math Books for Growing Thinkers, will give my students access to high-quality, engaging math literature that brings concepts to life.
Whether it’s a story that explains multiplication through a fun adventure or a book that introduces fractions using real-world examples, these resources will make math more meaningful and accessible. The books will support different learning styles and help build a strong foundation in critical thinking and problem-solving—skills my students will carry with them for life. Along with the books, they will also need laminating supplies for these books.
