Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our classroom is composed of English Language Learners, Latinx and African American students. They are a diverse group of second grade students who come from different backgrounds and experiences. They are creative, innovative, and are curious to learn more about their community and the world.
My Project
The goal of this project is to provide our second grade students with essential materials that will enhance their learning. The materials being requested, such as the laminator, markers and privacy shields are among our most used items in the classroom. Additionally, I have included bilingual books to support our English Language Learners. As well as social justice books that will guide student learning in exploring topics such as gender, race, equity, and representation.
