Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I work in a Title I school where all students receive free/reduced lunch. While the teachers do receive an instructional allowance at the beginning of the school year--with the increase of groceries, and other essential items--it makes it harder for teachers to purchase the items for their students to perform successfully inside of the classroom. I have always believed and been taught that for anybody to give their 100%, they must have their needs met. While some students may have the opportunity to bring snacks from home, others are not as fortunate and I believe that offering some snacks and water as well as some tissues (allergy season) will be beneficial not only for the students but levitate some financial burdens from the families. Please consider giving, any gift--whether big or small will be greatly appreciated!
