My Project
I am already excited about the upcoming school year and the new students who are coming to my classes! I teach a beginner ELL class and also support them in a co-taught Algebra 1 class. Most of my students are newcomers to this country.
I would like to welcome my students with a sufficient amount of writing and drawing tools such as pencils, colored pencils, and markers since they will be practicing a lot of writing.
One of my goals for this year is for my students to learn how to say, read, and write tier one vocabulary words as well as academic vocabulary essential for Algebra 1 while they enjoy using various tools to create colorful, visually appealing products. Students are instructed to create a colorful one-pager or poster to introduce themselves, describe their holidays, demonstrate their understanding of vocabulary words by using the Frayer Model, and solve equations for display.
I would also like to prepare for the upcoming school year with essential items for classes, such as paper clips and sticky notes. I am moving to a new classroom in August. I want to use storage bins to place books and school supplies on the bookshelves so that my room will be neatly organized.
