This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a junior high PE teacher and weightlifting coach, I believe that physical education is key to developing strong, healthy, and confident students. However, our current weight room and PE equipment doesn’t always provide the support and opportunities that will help students reach their full potential.

With your help, I’m hoping to bring in some much-needed equipment to elevate our program and ensure every student has access to quality resources.

These items will foster strength, coordination, and teamwork, while also promoting healthy habits that will last a lifetime.

For safe and effective strength training, barbells are a critical part of weightlifting for students of all skill levels, and the clamps will ensure weights stay securely in place. To keep our equipment organized and accessible, promoting safety and cleanliness in our weight room we need a rack. Used for both fitness and fun, tennis nets will be utilized in our PE classes to teach coordination, teamwork, and healthy competition. A

reliable scale will allow students to track their progress and set personal health goals, fostering an understanding of body weight and fitness.

These items will help create a safe, efficient, and engaging environment for physical education and weightlifting. Your support means the world to our students, as it will allow them to develop their fitness levels, set and achieve personal goals, and build teamwork and discipline through physical activity.
