Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we approach the end of the school year, my students are ready to dive into a hands-on STEM project—designing and building solar ovens to explore renewable energy. To make this project—and the rest of the year—successful, I’m seeking your support for essential supplies that will keep them engaged, energized, and focused.

From snacks to board games to STEM lessons, these resources will help my students stay motivated and finish the year strong.

Snacks will provide the energy they need to focus, while educational games will encourage teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving. These activities, along with our solar oven project, will inspire students to take an active role in their learning.

As we dive into Earth science, hands-on rock kits will bring our geology unit to life, allowing students to explore rocks and minerals. Storage supplies will help keep our classroom organized as our projects grow, ensuring everything is easily accessible.

For our end-of-year challenge, students will apply everything they’ve learned by designing, building, and testing solar ovens. This project will encourage them to think critically about renewable energy and sustainability while using real-world materials to bring their science knowledge to life.

Finally, our classroom printer is essential for creating lesson materials and supporting student work. Your donation will keep our printer running smoothly, ensuring we can continue producing important resources without interruption.

These supplies will not only help my students succeed academically but also inspire them to think creatively and engage deeply with the world around them.
