My Project

As an elementary art educator, I have the privilege of teaching a wide variety of culturally and developmentally diverse students. The young artists I teach range between the ages 4-12. They are creative, enthusiastic, and willing to tackle anything! However, young artists are learning to learn; simple tasks, like gripping, are skills children are developing that make "easy" things challenging.

The primary goal for this project is to gain essential art supplies needed to adapt instruction in a way that will allow every child, regardless of their developmental stage or learning differences, to thrive in the art room!

Essential, easy-grip materials like thick pencils, bulbous paint brushes, and washable paint will ensure that every child has what they need to grow and learn.
