eSports School Competition For The Gaming Coyotes

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We offer eSports as part of our school after school sports program. We want to create an eSports club so our athletes can practice year-round. In order for us to practice year-round, we need a few more items in our gaming room.

In order to train year-round, our athletes need more Nintendo Switch controllers to maximize our practice time.

Our school district added eSports to our After School Sports program during COVID and has been a great addition. Students tend to spend their free time playing video games. We are a Title 1 school and the majority of our students do not have access to video games. By creating an eSports Club, we can provide our students with the opportunity to play video games in a competitive setting that is age appropriate. Being on the eSports team will allow our students to be part of a team that will help develop their communication skills, ability to strategize, and other team-building skills by using these items we are asking for. I kindly urge all to extend their support to this program and contemplate the possibility of making donations to assist us in providing our students with essential resources such as a Nintendo Switch console, controllers, a charging station, and some video games.
