Esports Is More Than Gaming

My Project

Finding ways to engage students in the classroom is a growing challenge. With the introduction of STEM, I have been able to open a new world to my students that doesn't just go above their imagination, it includes it.

STEM encompasses a wide array of subjects and activities that help students to better learn and understand math, science, reading, and more -- these activities also include Esports or gaming because of coding.

How? When students participate in Esports, they learn how to read more effectively, they use their reading skills to understand and follow directions, and their writing skills to write code and commentary for events or competitions. Through Esports, my students have taken something they do on a regular basis for fun and expanded their world to the real possibilities of additional educational opportunities and future careers.

This gaming system and monitor will help us to be more competitive and attentive to detail when coding and creating. Please help us to keep striving for new heights as we work towards becoming a STEM certified school.
