Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At our library, we are always looking for innovative ways to engage our students. The library is the heart of the school, and is a great place for students to connect with each other, not only through academic studies, but in the context of fun activities.
Esports are an excellent way to promote school spirit and provide students with the opportunity to collaborate, compete, practice critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and to give students a sense of belonging and acceptance.
Many students have been eagerly planning and asking for the opportunity to participate in esports tournaments or socials, and this project would allow us to engage not only at our campus, but with other schools in our area.
Donations to this project are now being matched, thanks to support from Riot Games Social Impact Fund. We’re proud to share our love of esports, game design, and game development with public school teachers and students across the country.
