Esports and Games Club at Our Middle School Academy

Help me give my students an opportunity for an Esports and Games club at our middle school in Saint Louis. The purpose is to offer space to connect, compete, have fun, and build community in a safe environment.

My Project

Thank you for opening my request. I want to start an Esports club at our middle school so that our kids can engage with something they love in a meaningful, intentional way The intent of this endeavor is first and foremost provide students with the opportunity to connect with their peers in a safe, respectful, supervised environment. Second, to offer students the opportunity to learn and practice a variety of electronic and tabletop games, to learn and practice their sportsmanship expectations, and to learn and practice balancing skills in managing the balance of scholastics and extracurriculars. Third, to offer students the opportunity to participate in local (regional and national pending local competition results) gaming competitions and gain experience as gaming professionals.

Rationale per item:

1. Primary console for us to play any games, need two because of large interest in Esports (20 or so students or more for just middle school)

2. Competitive controllers are necessary to prepare for competitions, eight are needed for all to practice and to use at competition

3. Pencils support the classroom as well as club with note-taking, annotating, etc.
