Help me give my students the supplies that they need to succeed in ESOL
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
I teach English as a Second Language for grades K-5 and I am in need of basic supplies and prizes to motivate them to learn. Students are more successful when they have the materials they need in the classroom and I also like to use incentives to help encourage them to succeed. Basic materials, such as pencils and organizers, are helpful along with motivational stickers and prizes. I like to have snacks on hand for lunch bunch and as prizes. With limited space in my shared classroom, the storage bins are a necessity. I like to include art projects in my instruction, so the crayons are a great help for that purpose. Students enjoy doing work with materials other than pencil and paper so the sheet protectors are helpful. It is important to do activities involving the date, so the pocket calendar would really come in handy, especially for the younger learners. Phonics is also an integral part of the curriculum and those manipulatives will be great for hands-on learning. At the end of each school year, I pack up my classroom, which is why packing tape comes in handy! I spend a great deal of my own money in order to help my students and they could really benefit from these items.
