This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
English Language Learners learn more quickly and thoroughly when things are taught with manipulatives and games. This project is specifically for the lower-level English Language Learners.
Many of the immigrant and refugee students have learning gaps, because phonics and basic vocabulary is generally only taught in kindergarten through 3rd grade.
As a middle school ESL teacher, my goal is to empower my students, fill in the learning gaps, and help my students become successful readers before they begin high school.
Help my ESL students gain the necessary decoding skills to be academically successful in the United States and in life.
