My Students

My current students have so much grit. This year, all of my students are learning from home, and I am teaching from home. Even through the screen we have found ways to connect teacher-student and peer-peer.

These kids work hard day-after-day and they deserve the best we can provide.

My Project

My students are children who are to be learning at home for the entire 2020-2021 school year. I have used a trial of the ESGI software, and it is so impressive. The software lets you create and perform assessments with students over the internet, no paper required.

ESGI allows me to perform quick assessments of my students' learning so that I can determine which areas they need to practice.

It also quickly creates flashcards about what the kids should practice, which can then be sent to families for at-home support.

The ESGI software is also very helpful in allowing me to perform progress monitoring on my students. This means that I can assess them with the same test multiple times and see their growth over time. This is so important in targeting a student's strengths and gaps.

By identifying my students' learning gaps, I hope to ensure that all of my students meet our end-of-the-year goals, even if we are learning virtually. ESGI will allow me to quickly identify areas which I need to reteach to the class, a group, or an individual student.
