My Students

I teach elementary exceptional student education at a Title 1 public school in Miami, Florida. Most of my students are English language learners, come from low-income families, and do not have many educational resources at home. They are below grade level in reading and math, and struggle to gain confidence in those subjects.

My students are creative, energetic, and inquisitive.

They strive to learn at the same level as their peers and need extra resources in order to gain confidence in their academic ability.

My Project

My ESE students love to use dry erase boards, but there are only so many markers to be used at once. The dry erase pockets will be an engaging tool that I can use for both math and English classes. The educational rug will give students a place to sit when they've had enough of being in a chair and help those who still struggle with foundational spelling and counting skills. The minute math electronic flash cards will give my students much-needed number fact fluency. Elementary students are always in need of pencils and erasers, and a pencil sharpener will ensure each of my students is ready to learn. Pencil grips will improve their handwriting, and stickers will keep them motivated to learn.
