Our school is a Title 1 school which means 95% of the students come from low-income families and receive free or reduced lunch. Some do not have access to computers or the internet at home. Many of the students speak Haitian-Creole as their first language and have the extra task of learning English in addition to the Florida curriculum. Exceptional Student Education is designed to give support to students with disabilities. As the ESE teacher, I go into general education classrooms each day to assist students with disabilities in meeting the educational standards in English/Language Arts and Math content. I also teach one math class to third and fourth grade ESE students.
