Help me give my students a way to be "pen pals" with each other. Buddy classes will write Spanish messages to each other with erasable pens, each with an assigned pen color!
Watching these students grow in their love for learning is what makes my job worth it. I have learned this year that my students are caring and compassionate people toward each other, and that they want to interact in positive ways. I have heard them tell each other "that was tough luck losing this game, but you learned so much I know you'll do better the next time we play" and "our score this time was better than the first time we played!"

Writing pen-pal letters is an authentic way for students to truly use and learn Spanish, and have interactions that help them to build friendships outside of their own classmates.
The Erasable Gel Pens and refills make it easy to track which pen pal is writing and where messages begin and end. Without these, we would be using pencils that will smear, or have students be frustrated with their mistakes using traditional pens. The Mead Spiral Notebooks ensure each partnership has a consistent space to record their conversations, instead of loose-leaf paper.
